On 17th September, well known as the International World Clean-up Day, DRMF Executive Director, Ms. Shimimana Ntuyabaliwe took part in the event organized by AfriCraft NGO .
Participants cleaned Coco Beach grounds and got insights into transforming trash into Art, an exhibition which was hosted by AfriCraft.
In his opening speech Honorable Godwin Gondwe, the District Commissioner for Kinondoni reiterated the Governments plans to boost the Tourism Industry through the Royal Tour which was conducted by our President, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan. He said part of those plans is to make Coco Beach an international tourist attraction.
His Excellency Wiebe de Boer the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Tanzania pledged his support toward a cleaner environment in Tanzania.
Together with our director were youth with disabilities, who participated in the cleanup activities. Environmental disasters impact us all equally but Persons with disabilities are severely impacted. Dr. Reginald Mengi PWD Foundation supports environmental protection initiatives as part of our mandate towards serving persons with disabilities.
Keeping a clean environment is a lifestyle choice, let's choose a cleaner and safer livelihood for all.
